Rifugio Larici – Cima Larici – Monte Erba – il Portule (Cima Kempel and Cima Portule) – Bocchetta Portule
This path represents one of the most suggestive panoramic windows of the Asiago plateau (altopiano di Asiago), along the way you can meet numerous military remains of the Great War of 1915-1918; here roads, logistic centres, aqueducts and cable-ways were built, some of which are still clearly visible today.
Numerous hills and slopes lead me along the path made of soft curves and straight lines to the top. The slope is rather steep and at times exposed but the panorama that gradually becomes wider repays the effort. The vegetation is more and more scarce towards the top: with the ascent also the pines come out. At the top of the mountain and the highest spot for today, you can observe gorgeous skyline all around you, time to stop for a quick lunch and some photos.
